February 2010

   Thank you to The Hudson Valley Autism Society for awarding us a grant to fund our Summer Camps for the 2010 summer.  We are so thankful for this award because this will allow children on the autism spectrum, ages 5 to 18, to have a "camp" that is tailored to meet their needs.  The 2009 summer camps were a huge success and we're looking forward to seeing our campers again and meeting many new ones!

     Thank you to The Autism Society of America's Albany Chapter for awarding us a grant to turn a spare room in our office into a sensory/playroom for individuals on the spectrum.  We should have the project completed by the end of January.  This will allow parents to bring their children with them to our office while we discuss "matters at hand".

     Thank you to The Greene County Legislature for awarding us a grant to expand our lending library of information about autism spectrum disorders.  People are welcome to stop by and borrow books to help them understand autism more.
